Factors to Consider When Choosing the Right Products

Some of the best things that happen to me when I have chosen to practice minimalism and frugality are less time in fixing and cleaning my stuff, continuous peace of mind and contentment, a lot of money being saved, and the value of making the right choices. One of the things that I like how I live is that I am enjoying the benefits of the brands that I am loyal to can offer. In relation, I am the type of person who sticks with the brands that I love and when I discover more, I still remain loyal to the old ones while savoring the cons of the new ones.

In choosing the products or brands that I use for years, I always consider effectivity, efficiency, accessibility to sources, and of course affordability but high quality. Locally-made products are also close to my heart because they create employment that boosts our economy and purchasing them may change the lives of our kababayans. I am always vocal to you about my choices. I share it with you whenever I discover the best buys that really work well for me and my family in order for you to experience the benefits that we are getting from those products too.

Do you know that I also consider the way the companies who make my favorite products treat their employees? I support companies that are not just focused on making money but also concerned about the welfare of their staff and crew. I believe that they are worth patronizing because doing so may help them expand their businesses to create more jobs.

I believe that when a company offers its best products, the customers' welfare should always be put on top of its priorities. It may sound overused but it is always the job of a company to have its clients hooked because of the value that it feeds them. But more than getting me hooked because of offering me cons, what makes me more loyal is when it gives value beyond what the eyes can see. "Mama, ang bango mo naman, amoy Nenuco. Saan mo nakuha ang Nenuco mo?" . 'Yan ang puring may halong pagtataka nang pumasok ako ng kwarto namin after using @cleene_ph Ethyl Alcohol. Ang bango naman talaga kasi. Pwedeng pagsabayin ang disinfection at pagiging amoy malinis na hindi amoy ospital ang peg! Siguro nagtataka si Paps kung saan ko nakuha ang Nenuco na nauso pa noong 90s! Kung batang- 80s or 90s kayo, alam kong makare-relate kayo.🤣 . May favorite alcohol kasi kaming ginagamit for years na medyo pricey kaya napaisip akong subukan ang Cleene kasi mas budget-friendly at gawa ng reputable na local company kaya tiwala akong effective at nakakaengganyang suportahan. Unang gamit ko pa lang, sinabi ko na sa sarili ko na ito na ang brand na patuloy naming gagamitin. . Teka nga pala, ise-share ko sa inyo kung bakit mas preferred gamitin ng pamilya namin ang ethyl alcohol vs isopropyl alcohol. Payo kasi 'yan ng professor namin sa organic chemistry noong college. . Pareho naman silang may disinfectant (pumapatay ng germs o bacteria sa tao, hayop, o living things) at antiseptic (prevent the growth of disease-causing microorganisms sa non-living objects) properties na effective at 70% concentration kasi madaling mage-evaporate kapag mas mataas pa o magiging hindi effective kung mas mababa naman ang concentration ng alcohol. Pero MAS SAFE ANG ETHYL ALCOHOL kasi ang ethanol ay type ng alcohol na present sa alcoholic beverages. Ibig sabihin, hindi masyadong delikado kapag aksidenteng nainom at walang lasting short-term toxic effects hindi tulad ng isopropyl alcohol na extremely toxic kasi kapag nainom natin ito, nako-convert ito sa acetone na nakasasama sa liver. I was raised by a mom who takes dressing up seriously. She would always tell me that dressing for the occasion decently was essential because it was a form of self-respect and respect towards others. She said that doing these should not cost me an arm and leg. I should learn how to choose a few basic or classic pieces that I could mix and match. I should also not be into trends. She would reiterate that I should not sacrifice comfort or wear something that would not speak of my personality because by not doing so, I would just make a fool out of myself.

"You are what you wear. When you wear something that you like from head to toe, you will feel good about yourself and the people around you will feel it. Your clothes and shoes will make or break you so make the right choices," she would say. Yes, indeed. It's true. She was frugal in choosing the right clothing and shoes but she would never sacrifice quality and comfort. She wasn't into expensive and branded clothing. She was very particular in supporting locally-made outfits: elegant, classic, durable, presentable, and most especially, affordable. She would say that buying local would support our Philippine-owned businesses and that would be good for our economy.

In consonance, I also heard my uncle once said to everyone, "The best-footed man is a well-dressed man." He would usually wear simple clothes during meetings or special occasions but his pair of shoes were exceptionally uncommon or unique. His shoes made his total look extraordinary. He would brag that they were Philippine-made, gawang-Marikina.

Growing up in a family who treats choosing the right outfit a serious matter is an advantage. Never in my more than four decades of existence had a bad experience when it comes to choosing the right clothes especially pairs of shoes that would not cause any discomfort or uneasiness when I go out and face the world.
