NOVUHAIR 3-in-1 Pack: A Gift of Healthy Crowning Glory Fit for a Queen

Our mother deserves more than anything in this world because she gives her life to rear us from childhood to adulthood and possibly as long as we live. Everyone would agree that a mother is made to love and care for the rest of the family especially her children all the time. It is unquestionable that she always prioritizes the welfare of her family more than herself. To protect, serve, care, understand, and a lot more things can be done by a mother. She is designed to be that way and I believe in the saying, "God may not be everywhere that's why He created mothers." So, it’s but right to honor and return all the favors she has done for us and the perfect day to do it is during Mother's Day.

Are you still thinking of ways on how to spend this time of the year again with your mother? Well, you may be thinking of giving her simple things or expensive ones which depend on your budget. But always remember that your  appreciation of her is not equated by the amount of your present. It’s the thought that counts always. Every little thoughtfulness can be appreciated by your mother.

You may consider these gifts that are symbolical for your mom:

- A set of hankies that will bring back the memory of her wiping out her tears of happiness upon knowing that she’s conceiving a little creature inside her womb

- A loose yet comfy clothes shall make her remember that sort of a duster or preggy dress that she wore in the laborious yet exciting “nine months” of gestation

- A pillow that she could hug as tight as she embraced you after giving birth

- A brassiere for protection of the very bosom she fed you with during infancy

-  A bed can bring to her mind your tot years when you started to crawl and roll over it freely

- Shoes are a girl’s best friend, too, like your mom. Either sky-high heels or flattering flats, there’s a pair to match every bit of her fantasy. For as long as it brings comfort to her feet, it's more than enough to reciprocate the ease you had when you took your first walk with her guidance back then. If it isn’t her thing, though, a flip-flop will cause her to think that she also disciplined you through the proverbial “rule of slipper” hit on your buttocks while you were growing up.

- A bling ring can be worthy of your dear investment to show your deep appreciation of her just like when she never failed to recognize you with a pat on the back for simple good deeds or a job well done in your lifetime.

Haven't you decided yet? Here’s a simple but meaningful token of gratitude that for sure can make your mom surprised and happy: The NOVUHAIR 3-in-1 Pack which includes the topical scalp lotion, herbal shampoo and conditioner.

Why is NOVUHAIR 3-IN-1 pack the best gift your mom?

Spray a liberal amount of NOVUHAIR topical scalp lotion onto your mom’s scalp and massage it for five to ten minutes. it is such a simple gesture of  but it can melt her heart because it reminds her of the past when she used to do the same thing while you were still young, either as a trick to put you easily on a slumber or merely a relief every time you got sick. Those caressing hands of yours, likewise, imbibe your act of giving back the “natural care from mothers” like her.

Whatever impression it may have on her, what’s tangible she could gain is that you’re giving her nature’s gift of health. NOVUHAIR Topical Scalp Lotion is so unique that it combines 19 natural herbs, essential oils and co-factor nutrients––all working synergistically to help address hair problems from growth to vanishing. This breakthrough product helps to rejuvenate, nourish and maintain the moist of her tress from root to tip, aids in stimulating the growth of her hair and helps prevent it from excessive falling, while improving the overall appearance.

More than anything else, NOVUHAIR 3-in-1 pack may be one of the most precious gifts that your mom could ever receive in her entire life. Well, she’s the most important woman in your life after all. Hence, she deserves to be treated like a queen with that vibrant, bouncy and shiny “crowning glory.”

NOVUHAIR 3-in-1 pack is beyond compare. So, don’t think twice to wrap it as your present for her this Mother’s Day and, if ever, for life. Head on to any Mercury Drug and other leading drugstores to get a dose of nature’s answer to hair loss.  For inquiries, call 413-6570 or 0922-8830575, and visit for more details. Hot Off the Press: King Cup Sardines Joins Operation Bayanihan

When I hear news that big companies share their blessings to the less fortunate or to our countrymen affected by natural calamities, I am always touched by their gesture. It is truly an admirable endeavor that is worth sharing and of course, it gives me a happy feeling to support these companies so that they can help and share more.

KING CUP SARDINES Joins Operation Bayanihan

Last February, GMA Kapuso Foundation together with KING CUP SARDINES, which is being produced by PERMEX Producer and Exportation Corporation plus other food and hygiene companies did an Operation Bayanihan. It was last January that most of the municipalities in Mindanao particularly Agusan, Butuan and Caraga were affected by non-stop rain which resulted to flood including the overflowing of Agusan River.

This has brought damage not only to the roads, fields, root crops, but most specially to the houses of our fellow Filipinos.  Because of this, GMA Kapuso Foundation was the first Non-Government Organization (NGO) who extended their help and distributed relief goods particularly to the barangays in Butuan like Brgy. Baan, Sagunto and Halapitan, and Brgy. Nuevo Trabajo in San Luis, Agusan del Sur.  Extended help was also given most specially to those living beside Agusan River including the municipalities of Loreto and Banauan, San Francisco and Malimono in Surigao and to those confined in CARAGA Hospital.

Aside from preserving the country’s marine resources, PERMEX core values includes protecting the environment.  This is why PERMEX feels so sorry for the disaster brought by the heavy rains which caused the flood and overflowing of Agusan River.  And in line with the intention to help the Filipino people and give back because of the support that is being given to PERMEX, the said company didn’t think twice of giving boxes of KING CUP SARDINES through GMA Kapuso Foundation.

Thousands of calamity-affected families were given relief goods by GMA Kapuso Foundation and KING CUP Sardines was one of those goods.

Because of what happened, PERMEX would like to continually remind our fellowmen to take care of mother earth to avoid these kinds of disaster.

Mom and Baby Expo April 2017

I am a huge supporter of baby and mommy events. They are not only events where moms can shop great selections for themselves and their kids at a fraction of a price but also learn from experts who talk about parenting, child care, health, wellness, and a lot more pertaining to family and its wholistic well-being.

Just in, there will be another exciting event for moms, dads, and kids this April to be held in the Metro. Let me share with you the news coming from one of our PR friends. Here it is:

Medical Experts to Share Knowledge at Mom and Baby Expo this April 2017

With just a few weeks away, moms and moms-to-be are all geared up for the first ever Mom and Baby Expo happening this April. Organized by the Perinatal Association of the Philippines (PAP), the exhibit showcases all facets of comprehensive perinatal healthcare such as products, services, technology and new methods, all of which are intended in aiding Filipina mothers and their babies.
One of the highlights of the Mom and Baby Expo 2017 will be a series of talks from perinatal experts pertaining to maternal-fetal and newborn topics.

Some of the topics to be discussed during the event are tips on how to get pregnant; vaccines needed for expecting moms as well as their babies; exercise and proper nutrition for a healthy pregnancy; preconception tests and Breastfeeding Pearls Exercise. Other topics include skin care protection for women who are conceiving; importance of prenatal concerns; and ways to safeguard against diseases like vaginal infection, UTI and STDs.

PAP President Dra. Belen Velasco notes the relevance of taking time to listen to the experts during the talks. She explains: “Our objective is simple yet powerful: to impart advice and traverse new ideas moms and expectant moms can use that will ultimately strengthen their maternal bond with their babies”.

For his part, PAP President Dr. Diosdado Mariano says “The Expo is an opportunity to analyze and seek solutions to existing issues pertaining to maternal-fetal and newborn areas in an engaging and fun way.”

The Mom and Baby Expo 2017 will also showcase pocket workshops, fun and informative activities, selling booths, food stalls and raffle prizes.

The Mom and Baby Expo 2017 will be held on April 21-23 at the SM Megamall Megatrade Halls 2 and 3. The three-day event is made possible by the PAP, in partnership with its trusted affiliates- the Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecology Society (POGS), Philippine Pediatrics Society (PPS), Philippine Society of Newborn Medicine (PSNbM), Mother and Child Nurses Association of the Philippines (MCNAP), and the Integrated Midwives Association of the Philippines (IMAP).

Press Release: ALSA OZAMIZ- Ozamiznons Rise Against Everything Illegal With Back-up from the Goverment

From the ashes of its dirt-laden image, Ozamiz City was rising loud and proud with its latest crusade to crush bad elements in its territory.

On January 18, an estimated 30,000 Ozamiznons marched to a public venue beside the town’ historic structure famously known as Cotta. There was a public outcry to cleanse the city and eliminate once and for all the filthy stigma that has been associated to Ozamiz City.

On that evening, the city government declared Alsa Ozamiz, a local movement to rally all Ozamiznons to shrug off all bad elements that were corrupting and ravaging the once stellar status of the city.

As described by the incumbent Mayor Reynaldo “Aldong” Parojinog, Sr., Alsa Ozamiz bore the same ideals just like his grandfather’s first and original Alsa Ozamiz movement back in the 50s to fight government insurgencies, except that this time, the fight was not against rebels, but to a more profound cause — that was to fight all negative elements in the Ozamiznon society.

You name it, it’s on the list — from illegal gambling down to illegal fishing and the like, with illegal drugs on top of the list, the city government led by Mayor Aldong were all down to tap it off their city.

In a press conference held prior to the evening’s Alza Ozamiz event, the city’s father-daughter tandem composed of Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog, Sr. and Vice Mayor Nova Princess Parojinog vented out their sentiments about the latest accusations to them.

Vice Mayor Parojinog cried foul on their critics’ claim that the city’s drugs situation was “rampant”. Vice Mayor Nova Princess said all these allegations were really unfair for all the drugs initiatives that they implemented in the city long before DU30 came in to power.
“Dito sa Ozamiz City noon pa man matagal na kaming nakipag-gyera sa ilegal na droga,” said Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog, Sr.

Mayor Parojinog, Sr. noted that they were having this extensive fight against drugs however sadly, all these initiatives all went down the drain for nothing because apparently, their accomplishments just went under the radar of the then police chiefs for some unknown reasons.

On the press meeting, the Parojinogs presented a really thick book of the anti-drugs operations report that has been taking place since 2013, long before President Duterte’s massive national anti-drug campaign.

Vice Mayor Parojinog has noted that the book contains all the reports on the drug raids, drugs suspects arrests and illegal drugs confiscations undertaken by the city hall with the PNP since 2013.

“Noong kasagsagan ng campaign ko against drugs, madaming nagalit sa akin, kahit mga kamag anak ko,” added Mayor Aldong.

At one point the Mayor was teary-eyed as he said, “Taga-rito kami sa Ozamiz tapos sisirain namin ang lugar namin?”

Just recently, Mayor Parojinog, Sr. had a meeting with President Duterte who also met other city and town mayors in Malacanang Palace last January 11.

Parojinog, Sr. described his meeting with Duterte in Manila as cordial, with the Chief Executive saying that the earlier pronouncement of Parojinog’s involvement in drugs was based on report from regional intelligence units.

“Mas lalo kaming maninindigan sa aming laban sa droga bilang suporta sa Pangulong Duterte na handang itaya ang buhay para sa bayan,” stated Mayor Aldong in front of the media team.

Of course, being included on DU30’s narco-politician list (from which Mayor Aldong’s case is currently under revalidation) and having this aggressive campaign called “Alsa Ozamiz”, Mayor Aldong Parojinog’s detractors would definitely raise their eyebrows with the coincidence.

Additionally, there was a social media buzz that Alsa Ozamiz was the Parojinog’s strategy to sack the newly-assigned city police chief Espinido.

However, the courageous mayor gleefully revealed that Alsa Ozamiz was actually a joint effort of the PNP and the city hall. In fact, during the Alsa Ozamiz gathering that night at the Cotta, although not present, the new city police chief had a long VTR message for all Ozamiznons that affirmed his support on this anti-drugs initiatives by Mayor Aldong and VM Nova Princess (and the rest of the Ozamiz City Hall).

Later that Wednesday evening Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog, Sr. led the formal launch of the ‘Alsa Ozamiz’ anti-crime program. ICMY, the Alsa Ozamiz program was an extensive program of the Ozamiz city hall that could push civilian-barangay partnerships with government and non-government agencies to prevent “all that is illegal” in the city i.e. illegal drugs, gambling, fishing, logging, etc.

With illegal drugs on top of their list, the leading city officials stated that they have standby programs to support this city anti-drugs campaign. This includes the proposed private partnership with rehabs as part of the follow-up initiatives for “tokhang responders” and also the potent “reward system” when it comes to intelligence gathering, among others.

On the eve of the Alsa Ozamiz declaration and right after the press briefing, some 560 videokarera machines that were voluntarily surrendered to Barangay Captains were crushed altogether by a payloader right in front of the city hall grounds. These videokarera and fruitgame machines were allegedly being used habitually by drug addicts as a fond pastime most notably when they were high on drugs.

Press Release: Herbalife Nutrition At Work Survey Reveals Filipino Millennials Desire Healthy, Active Workplace Environment

While the survey conducted reveals that more Filipino millennials are engaging in regular physical activities outside work, they find it difficult to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle in the modern workplace.

PHILIPPINES, October 27, 2016 – Herbalife Nutrition, a global nutrition company, has released the findings from its Asia Pacific Millennials At Work Survey1, which revealed that Filipino millennials are adapting a healthy, active lifestyle, however, most believe their current workplace environment prevents them from doing so.

Millennials, or people born in between 1980 and 2000, are opting for a workplace that will encourage them to stay active, if only this will be embedded in every company culture.  About 83 percent or eight (8) in 10 millennials have agreed that they would like their company workplace to adopt a healthy, active lifestyle.

With the millennial generation expected to make up 50 percent of the global workforce by 2020, ensuring the well-being of millennials will be important to improving workplace productivity." There are about 35 million millennials now in the Philippines, which is about one-third of the country’s entire population. Five years from now, millennials will be dominating the labor force. While most millennials want to lead healthy lives, they face real obstacles at work in doing so,” said Rosalio Valenzuela, Herbalife Philippines General Manager. “At Herbalife Nutrition, we provide our employees with nutrition products at work, subsidize gym memberships, hold regular wellness programs related to nutrition and well-being, and encourage participation in outdoor activities and sports competitions.”

Additionally, the survey findings revealed the following:

·    Seven (7) out of 10 millennials strive to live healthy, active lives.

·    However, the majority of millennials find it challenging to maintain an active lifestyle at work – eight (8) out of 10 millennials spend 6 to 13 hours at their work desk each day, and 64% of millennials get less than 30 minutes of physical activity - including standing, stretching and walking at work on an average work day.

·    Additionally, 64% of millennials cited the “lack of time” as the key obstacle to engaging in physical activity at work.

To  provide tips on how millennials and their employers can integrate positive nutrition and life style habits at their workplaces, Herbalife Nutrition has organized a sixth Asia Pacific Wellness Tour, which builds upon the successes of the past five tours that welcomed over 100, 000  participants. Five experts from the Herbalife Nutrition Advisory Board (NAB) are scheduled to tour 21 Asian cities from October 7 to 30, to hold a series of talks, workshops and medical symposia across the region.

“Through these efforts, we hope to equip organizations and employees with the right tools to collectively build a healthier work environment across Asia Pacific,” said Valenzuela.
Julian Alvarez Garcia, M.D., Ph.D., a member of the Herbalife Nutrition Advisory Board, will be visiting Manila for the Asia Pacific Wellness Tour this October. Julian Alvarez Garcia, M.D., Ph.D. will also be sharing expert advice on how millennials can adopt simple positive nutrition and lifestyle habits at work to improve their overall well-being in the long run.

Some of the tips to help foster a healthier millennial workforce include:

·         Nutrition

o  Dedicate a healthy eating day each week and get colleagues involved in making healthy choices for lunch on this day.
o   Boost water intake to help the body digest food, rid the body of toxins, and help deliver nutrients to the cells. Drink at least eight (8) glasses or two (2) liters of water a day.
o   Have a protein shake combined with non-fat milk and healthy fruit for breakfast. With 20-30 grams of protein and low-fat contents, it can provide the body with all the nutrition it needs to power through the day.

·         Active Living

o   Create a playlist that incorporates upbeat music and play with hourly intervals.
o   Use Running Apps to keep energized and on-pace during regular runs.
o   Set a goal to join running competitions to motivate self to sustain an active lifestyle.

1Herbalife’s Millennials At Work Survey was conducted in 2016, with 5,500 respondents aged 18 and above, from Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
