Juicy Fried Hotdogs & Easy Hotdog Recipe

I cooked fried hotdogs last week and my son said, "Thanks, Mom! Ang sarap naman ng hotdogs na 'to!" Sarap ng feeling...  ("Thanks, Mom! These hotdogs taste great!" I felt good...)

It's just simple fried hotdogs but do you know what makes them special? They are not oily and they remain juicy even when they get cold.

Here's my secret. I put a little water and oil on the hotdogs. I let it boil until the water evaporates. Then the little oil does the finishing touch. The hotdogs remain juicy and don't shrink at all.

If you want your hotdogs not just fried and to make it more nutritious and appealing to kids, you may do this recipe:

Ingredients:
1 tsp cooking oil
1 small onion, chopped
2 gloves of garlic, chopped
1 small carrot, slices thinly
10 pcs regular size hotdogs, sliced thinly (I recommend Pure Foods Tender Juicy Hotdog)
1 cup banana catsup
1 tsp parsley, chopped
salt & pepper

Procedure:

Put oil on the pan and saute the chopped onions, garlic, and hotdogs. When the hotdogs are cooked already (light brown) put the sliced carrots and stir. Put a little water for the carrots to cook. Simmer for two minutes then put banana catsup. Simmer until the sauce has reduced. Put salt & pepper to taste.

You may serve it as a rice topping. To make it more colorful and to add more texture, put the chopped parsley upon serving.

Hope you'll try this recipe. It's a big hit for kids and adults! :)
