How I Make My Worklife Easier

I am a stay-at-home mom for 11 years. I do the household chores, take care of the kids and my family's needs, and maintain a home-based business and blog site. We don't have a helper. We chose not to hire one because we are comfortable with our set up. To make the long story short, I am a certified mom/wife/caregiver/maid/teacher/crafter/businesswoman/blogger. My husband and I are very independent and we want our kids to do the same.

It was very natural and usual on my part that sometimes I would feel stressed especially when my job as a mom and mompreneur would become so demanding. I didn't even notice that sometimes I became so engrossed with my duties that I forgot to give myself time. I had moments when I became  so irritable.  To be very honest, there were also moments when I felt so ugly, haggard, sad and worst having displacement of anger with no apparent reason.

The last time I felt so stressed and too hard on myself was three years ago, I made it a point to list down the things that I should do to give "LOVE" to myself and of course, to make my work life easier and hassle-free as I walked on the journey that I chose.

1. I pray.

The Lord doesn't give me responsibilities and trials that I can't handle. When I pray and offer all my pains, joys, activities, sacrifices as I start the day, all things go on smoothly.

2. I think positively.

As the law of attraction states, “In every action, there is an opposite and equal reaction.” I always put in mind that each day is going to be happy and it surely is. It’s my optimism that affects everything that I do positively. I love all the things that I do despite being challenged. Seeing goodness in every bad situation makes my life beautiful and worth living.

3. I plan.

If I fail to plan, I’ll surely fail. I am religious in planning all my tasks for the week and I make sure that they are S-M-A-R-T (specific, measurable, attainable, reasonable, and time bound).

Following a "To Do List" by the book drove me crazy in the past. It controlled me. Now it’s a lot different. I know how to set my priorities.

4. I am kind to myself.

There is nothing wrong if I pause for a while and give myself time to rest and unwind. I have convinced myself that it's okay to slow down. I love multitasking. It can make me finish all my daily tasks. But I ask myself, “Is it necessary all the time?”

I make sure to have a daily me-time or appointment with myself that can happen anytime between 30 minutes to two hours. It's a time to maybe take a nap, do some crafting, read a chapter or two of our favorite novel, exercise, take a leisurely bath, meditate, or do something that I  really like.

I also lessen my self expectations and do what is best for the moment. My kids are still very young and most of my time goes to them instead on myself. I make the best out of the situation. I make memories with them because someday they are going to have their independence and that is the time that I can do more things for myself and with my husband too.

5. I take care of myself.

Above all, I always see to it that I nourish myself with proper food, exercise, and rest. I admit that I eat junk sometimes to satisfy my cravings. Honestly, I don’t feel guilty about it because I believe that a little of everything is not bad. It’s just a matter of knowing how to balance everything.

For four years, as prescribed by my dentist, I take Fern-C, the number one Sodium Ascorbate Vitamin C brand in the Philippines. Sodium Ascorbate is a better form of Vitamin C. It is quickly absorbed by the body and in my case, I don’t experience hyperacitdity while taking it because it's non-acidic. FERN-C is the First Non-Acidic Vitamin C in the Philippines and the only Quali-C Vitamin C made from Europe, ensuring quality to millions of Filipinos. It keeps my immune system boosted and my gums healthier too

Just recently, I've started drinking FernCoffee. It doesn’t just satisfy my love for caffeine boost but it contains eight (8) vitamins and minerals (Quali-Blends) from DSM Switzerland, a perfect combination to perk up my day! This coffee tastes really, really good too that’s why I am motivated to drink this every morning!

It is a fact that my worklife ay easy with FERN-C! Subok na!

Because of doing these five tips, I am more relaxed, contented, and happy with my spontaneous life as a woman wearing different hats.
