Easy Pan Baked Macaroni

One of my son's favorite dishes is baked macaroni. We don't have a big oven. What I always do is to cook it through stove and it tastes as good as an oven-baked macaroni.

Here's how to do it.

Ingredients

2 tbsp margarine or butter
2 small cans Purefoods Corned Beef
165 grams (1 regular bar) Eden cheese, grated
500 ml all-purpose cream
3 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
400 grams macaroni
1 liter Del Monte Sweet Style Spaghetti Sauce
750 ml water
dash of dried basil
dash of pepper

Procedure

In a casserole or thick pan (preferably surgical steel, non-stick or Teflon), melt margarine or butter then fry corned beef until golden brown.

Add the spaghetti sauce, 350 ml all-purpose cream, 2/3 of grated cheese, sugar, salt, dried basil, pepper, and water.

When it's already simmering, add the noodles. Lower down the fire and stir constantly until the noodles are cooked and the sauce has been reduced.

Cover the pan and if the mixture is almost dry, turn off the fire and spread the remaining all-purpose cream on top. Sprinkle the remaining grated cheese.

It's done when the cheese melts.

Serve while it's hot! :)

Optional:

*You may add other ingredients like mushrooms, hotdogs, etc. or you may add more sugar or salt depending on your preference.

*You may use an electric skillet if you have.
