Fried Dagupan Foods Boneless Golden Tinapa with Ensaladang Kangkong

A few weeks ago we were craving for Tinapa (Smoked Fish). The public market was far from our place and frankly speaking, we were not confident to buy exposed ones here in Metro Manila because we weren't sure about its cleanliness of how it was prepared and handled. 

We are frugal but we don't want to settle for anything less especially when it comes to food.

Hubby used to do errands in the supermarket for me and he discovered Dagupan Foods Boneless Golden Tinapa. This smoked fish brand became our favorite ever since. 

What we love about it is it's vacuum packed and sealed, hygienic, and tastes really good. It's made from the famous Bangus Bonoan, the milk fish with smaller head. It doesn't have a bitter or bad after taste. You can taste that it's fresh and properly processed. It's best served with hot steamed rice or your favorite dip or salad.



In our case, we like it served with Ensaladang Kangkong. Let me show you how to make this refreshing, delicious, and healthy salad.


Ingredients

2 bunches of Kangkong (Swamp Cabbage), steamed or blanched
1 big red onion, minced
4 big tomatoes, cut into small pieces
1 cup green mango, minced
approximately 1 to 2 tablespoons bagoong alamang guisado 


Procedure

Make sure that you don't overcook the Kangkong (Swamp Cabbage). Mix all ingredients. You may use less or more bagoong alamang guisado based on your preference.  
  
There was no available green mango when we made this. It's yummier when you put minced green mango. It balances the saltiness of bagoong and spiciness of onions.

When frying the Golden Boneless Tinapa, make sure not to overcook it because it becomes stiff.
Fried Dagupan Foods Golden Boneless Tinapa tastes so good. It's crispy outside and juicy inside!

This combination is so yummy and you would never notice that you want more!

It's obvious that more rice is needed to enjoy Dagupan Foods Golden Boneless Tinapa and Ensaladang Kangkong. Mapapa-extra rice ka talaga sa sarap!

For this meal we only spent less than Php200.00 and it fed six persons. Dagupan Foods  Boneless Golden Tinapa costs Php135.00/pack of 3, veggies and bagoong cost approximately Php40.00, and steamed rice costs approximately Php20.00. Super sulit!
