See You at Blogapalooza 2014!

A few weeks ago, I signed up for the Blogapalooza 2014. I got an e-mail last night that I was included on the list of the first 300 bloggers to attend the biggest business to blogger networking event of the year! Cool!
Who wouldn't like to be part of it? Let me share with you why this event shouldn't be missed by big/small businesses and seasoned/newbie bloggers alike.
Blogapalooza is a community that links big and small businesses who would have something to share to the online community and bloggers who are very much willing to share. I learned from those who had experience attending this that lots
of cool giveaways would be given to bloggers at the same time big
and small businesses would present their product or brand to
hundreds of influential bloggers and online social media influencers.
What Blogapalooza does is it invites influential bloggers, tweeters, Facebook influencers
and get them all into one room to see, feel, talk about, and have a first hand experience on the businesses' product or brand. The team exclusively screens
and picks out the top influencers and businesses who
will be presenting to the online community. Then presenters get 5 to 15
minutes to discuss about their products or brands and have booths at the
event to show off their items and meet the bloggers. Bloggers receive a giveaway or promotional item from each
presenter. This gives bloggers to get to try and have
an overall experience of the products, services, etc. Bloggers may
blog about the event, presentations, freebies, networking, and experiences with the businesses.
Since it would be my first time to attend this prestigious event, I learned some pointers from Mommy Marie San Luis of Mamanee's Nest, a returning attendee:
• "Bring
calling cards. It will be more memorable and it surely make your mark
with brands. You might never know but then it could spark a partnership
for you."
• "Sufficient battery life for your phone, camera and/or tablet. You will need it to take a lot of photos, sign up and download certain apps when you join their contests, there also should be free Wi-Fi at the event like last year."
•"Reusable bags is a plus. Although most of the brands will be giving you an eco bag, I lost out on that and left a really nice calendar somewhere at the event."
•"Be there early, if you go later in the afternoon, you'll miss out on all the good talks and also first dibs on booths. More time to interact! Oh and stay 'til the end if you can since I heard last year Vince was giving away some freebies."
•"Wear a great smile, you may never know but your photo might turn up at Wheninmanila's website or page."
