My Chosen #OneWord for 2015
January 10, 2015
Change is inevitable. It makes a person better or worse. I choose to embrace change willingly for the better.
Despite being in a state of emotional and financial turmoil when my parents separated in 1999, until 2008, when my loved ones got sick often, I managed to keep moving forward and believed that everything was going to be fine in God's grace and time.
Believe it or not, I hope it wasn't coincidental, everything went into place when I freed myself and my family from abusive, manipulative, and greedy people. It helped me focus on the things that were essential and changed my way of thinking. I became more optimistic. Then I enjoyed its benefits.
After recollecting all the things that happened in the past, my perfect #oneword for 2015 is GRATEFUL.
I am grateful for all the bad and good things that happened in my life. They gave me lessons to learn and moments to cherish. Experiencing trials and failures taught me things that I never learned from books. Triumphs and happy moments gave me more opportunities to push myself to the limits and be the best person that I ought to be.
I am grateful for meeting people from all walks of life. They taught me how and when to trust or hold back.
I am grateful for meeting people from all walks of life. They taught me how and when to trust or hold back.
I am grateful for being surrounded with true friends and faithful loved ones. They acknowledge my strengths and weaknesses unconditionally. They are always there through thick or thin. They serve as my inspiration and strength.
I am grateful for being loved by God. Without Him, I am nothing. His love never fails.
How about you? What is your #oneword for 2015? Feel free to share yours!
I would like to thank, Janice Lim and Millie Manahan for inspiring me to think and write about my #oneword for this year!
