Spicy Sizzling Tofu with Jolly Real Mayonnaise

It's always fun and pleasurable to join Mommy Bloggers Philippines' recipe sharing so I made sure to join again this time. The star ingredient that should be used was Jolly Real Mayonnaise.

I didn't have an experience using this mayonnaise before. I was confined to using only two of the most popular brands in the country ever since I learned how to cook.

I'm fond of using Fly Ace Corporation's products in most of my recipes. I didn't go wrong when I added Jolly Real Mayonnaise to my entry dish. It became more appetizing and yummy! It was worth trying!

It's true that Jolly Real Mayonnaise can make our favorite dishes richer because this thick and creamy mayonnaise is made from the finest eggs and oil for that authentic mayonnaise taste and texture we love.

It can create zestier salad dressings, tastier sandwiches, creamier dishes, and even the yummiest desserts! Jolly Real Mayonnaise is sure to bring out the most amazing flavors from our favorite dishes.

Moving on to my dish, at first I thought of making sandwiches or salads. Not until I saw the sizzling plate that my best friend gave me last Christmas. It gave me an idea to make an easy sizzling tofu, a healthier alternative or subsitute to pork sisig. To add a little kick on it, I put chillies. So I called it SPICY SIZZLING TOFU.

Here's how to cook it:

Ingredients

500 grams tofu, cut into small cubes
2 cloves garlic, minced

1 piece medium red onion, minced
1 piece siling labuyo
1 piece long green chili
Jolly Real Mayonnaise

liquid seasoning
1 piece egg
2 pieces calamansi

palm oil or butter for frying

1/2 teaspoon spring onions, minced

Procedure

1. Fry tofu cubes until golden brown. Don't forget to preheat the sizzling plate while frying the tofu to save time.

2. In the same oil or butter sauté onion and garlic. Add fried tofu and half of the chillies. Mix well.

3. Add liquid seasoning according to taste.

4. Turn-off the heat. Add 11/2 to 2 tablespoons of Jolly Real Mayonnaise and mix well.

5. Brush oil or butter on the sizzling plate and make a bed of Jolly Real Mayonnaise. Put the cooked tofu on top.

6. Add egg on the side and top the dish with the remaining chillies and spring onions. You may drizzle it with some Jolly Mayonnaise if you wish.

This dish is also perfect for vegetarians. If you're not fond of eating spicy food, you may skip with adding chillies.

Three Reasons Why Kids Do Not Help Around the House

It is generally believed that when it comes to educating kids many parents meet difficulties, no matter of the problem that they need to solve. Especially when kids are little, it is never easy to determine the best ways in which to teach them how to behave and how to help around house. They always seem to be distracted with their own games, or if not, they start pretending that they are occupied with important activity whenever parents ask them to help with the duties.

There are many reasons why kids escape from such activities, when they are told to help around the house and, of course, the final success strongly depends on the individual approach that every parent apply. In this article I will discuss the main reasons why kids are reluctant to help with the household duties and how to encourage them not do so. It may seem difficult to convince them to take part, however, if you catch their attention or if you are persuasive enough, it is not impossible to help them change their attitude.

Kids Are Too Distracted With Their Own Games

You would certainly agree that one of the main reasons why kids are not eager to take part in the household duties is that they prefer to be occupied with their own games. That is, by all means, the most normal thing of all, taking into account the fact that they associate the help with unpleasant duties such as cleaning, arranging of things and washing of the dishes. Instead of interrupting them in the middle of their games, you can wait for them to finish and then to explain them how funny it will be to initiate new game that will be useful for the house.

Kids Try to Escape From Disputes

Almost every parent will agree that when they ask their kids to give them a helping hand around the house, the discussion often turns into a dispute, contributed by yelling and arguing. Kids, like adults, are not keen on being involved in arguments, while they can play their favourite games. Many parents make the mistake to apply this obviously inappropriate method for making their kids help them with the household duties. It is needless to say that this approach rarely tends to be successful. I advise you to forget about yelling and to try to talk with kids in a polite and gentle manner. You can introduce them their duties as a game and to ask them to play this game with you. The kids are easily encouraged to forget about games, simply when they are involved in another game.

Kids Want To Mark Their Freedom

Even if they are little, most kids try to demonstrate their freedom and to express their preferences, especially when they are at home. When parents ask them to take part in the household duties, they often do the opposite thing, simply because they want to have different point of view. They do not make this on purpose - just on the contrary – they subconsciously oppose to parents because they want to show their independence and position. Although you need to teach them how to help you with the duties, you also need to respect the kids and to leave them space so that they could feel free to make their own choices.

Every parent has probably established individual methods for encouraging kids to feel more enthusiastic when they need to help with the household duties. It is better not to forget that kids have their point of view that should be respected and that it is always preferable to discuss with them these issues, instead of starting an argument.
