Mav's Talent Management's "Ready... Set... Show!"

I am a big fan of stage plays and concerts especially when they are composed of Filipino talents. I'm so blessed to be given another privilege to witness and enjoy a proudly Pinoy performance, "Ready...Set...Show", staging “Away Bata”, a recital piece of Mav's Talent Management, as a finale to its acting workshop that ended on May 2015. It was held on October 10, 2015, 4:00 PM at the Teatrino Theater-Promenade, Greenhills, San Juan City. Aside from the recital, it also included a back-to-back mini concert of GWYNETH DORADO, one of its prime talents and Asia's Got Talent Grand Finalist. 

Aside from bringing pride and honor to our country, she was chosen to sing our national anthem, “Lupang Hinirang”, during the 3rd and last SONA of President Benigno Aquino Jr., last July 27. To give thanks for all those who supported her from the auditions up to the finals, she showcased her talent with Mav's other promising talents through this show. 

What I liked about this show was it highlighted the versatility of  Mav's Talents. They were not just good in one discipline but well-versed performing artists in the different areas as well. All performers were good actors, dancers, singers, and models aside from having good looks, an ensemble of characteristics that the showbiz industry could probably need. 

Mav's Talents deserve to be in the limelight because they can offer more than just superficial beauty. Kudos to Mavic Lao and her team for bringing out the best in these kids. I wish them more years and success in producing more well-rounded performers in the future!


The cast of "Away Bata" did a wonderful performance! I was fascinated with how Gelo Villaflores performed as a blind but witty kid, Gelo, and Nico Wagas as the young gardener, Rap-Rap. Gelo dances gracefully while Nico sings well too! Mapapa-wow ka talaga when you see them perform on stage! Their performance were flawless! Sabi nga, aral na aral pero effortless!

I also liked the song and dance number of Angeline Villaflores and Geramay Sanders. I couldn't help but tap and dance along to the beat of their song. I felt so young seeing them perform! They were so pretty in their gowns too!

Gwyneth Dorado's perfomance of Jessie J's Flashlight was superb! I considered it as one of the best renditions of the song! Super galing! No wonder that she was chosen as one of Asia's Got Talent Grand Finalists. I was wondering, how could a powerful but soothing voice could go out from that little body? I liked her before but now I like her even more!

What made the event more special was I was able to enjoy it with these two lovely ladies, Marie San Luis of Mamanee's Nest and Reylen Castro of Made It Through Mum.
